Northrop Grumman has released a new promo video for the distributed aperture system design for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The video offers an interesting glimpse into how the F-35 is envisioned to fight in air-to-air combat.
This is one of the most amazing takeoff panoramas you'll see anywhere in the world. Note that wheels are off the ground only a few seconds before the wing is over water. And then you see the lovely side of Rio, starting with the bay, Sugar Loaf, Copacabana and Ipanema in the distance.
Boeing roll-out ceremony for the F-15SG, the variant of the F-15E purchased by the Singapore Air Force. I attended the roll-out ceremony on 3 November at Boeing's final assembly center for the F-15 in St. Louis.
This video was on display at Sikorsky's AUSA booth. It shows three different configurations for a military variant of the manufacturer's high-speed helicopter called X2. One is a Mi-24 Hind-like attack and utility helo. The second is an armed, high-speed version of the UH-60 Black Hawk. And the third is a Cobra like gunship optimized for the attack role.
