I found this 54 Studebaker in a driveway in Martinez CA. in 1999. This is the same car shown later in "My dad's old Studebaker", which, by the way, isn't really his dad's old car. His dad's car went to a close friend of mine.

Clearly not the first muscle cars on the Market, these 1964 Studebaker cars were screamers. This was the second year that Studebaker offered Avanti 289 Engines in all of their models. Like the 57 Golden Hawks and 63 Avantis, these cars were fast. David E. Davis's of Car & Drivers magazine, prediction of Studebaker cars of the future seems a bit off.
